Both ESPN and MSNBC are reporting that Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw skipped the showcase of the past Super Bowl MVP's because they wanted more than just the per diem the NFL gave. I hope it's not true.
As an aside, did anybody but Dolphins fans notice that Jake Scott wasn't there?

Bradshaw's PR people are saying that he never intended on staying in town after promoting his upcoming movie. They deny that the money played any role in his not being there.
We all know what it means when an athlete says it's not about the money. It's about the money.
Montana denied on Quite Frankly that it was a money decision. He said his kid had an important basketball game and he wanted to attend it. Claims he wouldn't have gone even if they offedred him more then the $100,000.00 he allegedly demanded.
Bradshaw was on Leno last night and denied that it was financial. I haven't heard anything from Montana.
I didn't notice Montana missing, but I did notice that there were not enough Steelers there during the program. I just wasn't sure who was missing.
They didn't talk about it on TV when they were being introduced.
